Hello,



Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mark Carpenter and I am originally from the New Orleans, Louisiana area. I am currently living in Nashville, Tennessee with my amazing girlfriend, Marissa, and our two dogs, Jager and Saia. Our path to get here was not by any means an easy one. We are both from Covington, Louisiana, smaller town on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain across from New Orleans. It was here that i was invovled with music by playing in two bands: Lying in Wait and Labia Slave (I didn't choose the name on this one folks). It was during this time that I knew I wanted to do something more than just play music,I wanted to pursue an education.My girlfriend and I picked up everything and moved to Orlando, Florida where I attended Full Sail Univeristy and studied Music Business Marketing and Management on October 21,2010.

 

I graduated on March 8, 2013, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Business and was elected to receive Courde Directors Awards in International Business and Professional Writing. These awards are given to one student per semester who showed the greatest achievement within the course. I highly enjoyed my college experience and would do it all over again if given the opportunity.

 

Upon graduation my girlfriend and I chose the three places that we would think about moving after I graduated: Back home to New Orleans, Austin, or Nashville. I am happy to say that we chose Nashville. It has been one of the best decicisions of our lives. Although we do miss the cuisine and atmosphere of New Orleans, Nashville reminds us a lot of our hometown. The small city feel, great food , and great music.

 

Once we moved to Nashville I participated in an Internship with Average Joes Entertainment; home to Colt Ford, Bubba Sparxx, The LACS, and other "Hick Hop" artists. I recently accepted a position with the Country Music Hall of Fame as an Operations Technician. Although a great experience and organizaiton to work for, I strive for more. It is my intention to solidify myself in Business Marketing and/or Management and with plenty of motivation I will eventually obtain everything that I have ever wanted for not only me but for everyone that is counting on me.
